Master Chef Brings New Challenges For Home Cooks In Abu Dhabi

“Great food, progressive culture, and mid-blowing locations! Habibi, come to Abu Dhabi! MasterChef India will be taking a tasteful trip all the way to Abu Dhabi, UAE from 6th to 10th March! The Show will take Top 8 home cooks out of the comfort of the ‘MasterChef India Kitchen” to Abu Dhabi.

Accompanied by the judges, Chefs Ranveer Brar, Garima Arora and Vikas Khanna, the home cooks will be swept away to the sprawling capital of UAE and visit some of its most iconic locales. On Monday as the home cooks reach Abu Dhabi, they would be taken to ‘Yas Waterworld’ and introduced to the ‘Pairs Challenge’ wherein the task of the day would be for the home cooks to take on Arabian Street Food. On Tuesday, the troupe moves to the fields of ‘Yas Links Golf Course’ where the ‘Mystery Box Challenge’ would await the Top 8 home cooks who must pick from three mystery boxes, each containing a secret ingredient. Wednesday and Thursday, for the ‘Pizza Challenge,’ the Top 8 will be meeting renowned guest Chef Massimo Bucca, the Executive Sous Chef of Saadiyat Rotana Resort & Villas and make mouth-watering pizzas at the breath-taking ‘Ferrari World.’ Ending the Abu Dhabi trip, a few will face the ‘Black Apron Challenge’ where the home cooks will be required to go through the adventurous Warner Bros World on a unique “Clue Hunt”. At the end of their search will be the “hero ingredient” with which the home cooks will have to cook in the ‘Skill of the Grill’ at Saadiyat Island, on Friday! This week, MasterChef India will also get its Top 7 as one home chefs will pack their bags and leave the MasterChef Family.

Talking about the Abu Dhabi trip, Chef Vikas Khanna says, “We all had a great time in Abu Dhabi. The home cooks had a blast participating in the many tasks as we travelled to such wonderful locations. I’m glad that MasterChef India let the Top 8 enjoy such a worldwide experience because Abu Dhabi gave the home chefs exposure to different foods and cultures!”

Chef Garima Arora also echoed her co-judge’s sentiments saying, “If I had received such exposure when I was just starting in the culinary business, it would have opened my mind to such a wide range of flavours to discover. The home cooks are fortunate that MasterChef India is a platform which enables them to discover such innovative cooking techniques. For all of us, visiting Abu Dhabi was a worthwhile experience. There was a dramatic display of passion, and it all came together to make for a memorable visit!”

Talking about his experience in the Capital city Chef Ranveer Brar says, “Abu Dhabi has opened up many avenues for the home chefs – be it different tastes, cooking styles or techniques. The Top 8 have earned their spot and in Abu Dhabi, they had to prove their mettle and continue to deliver on our criterion of taste, innovation, and presentation.”
